Miss Shanna-Rae Baker and Mr. Trey Ferrell

Alvin and Lisa Upchurch of Phillipston and John and Phoebe Baker of Philipp announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shanna-Rae Counts Baker, to Vivian Lamar Ferrell III of Coxburg.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Christy Ferrell of West and Vivian Lamar Ferrell Jr. and Dana Lynn Cain of Coxburg. He is the grandson of Vivian Lamar Sr. and Annie Faye Ferrell of Coxburg and the late Gene and Mary Katherine Gelston.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mae C. Winstead of Greenwood and the late Rudy Winstead and Peggy Baker of Greenwood and the late Larry Baker and the late Butch Frances Mooneyham, and Alvin and Janie Upchurch of Carrollton.

Miss Baker is a graduate of Carroll Academy and Holmes Community College in Goodman, where she received an associate’s degree in psychology. She is a graduate of Delta Technical College in Jackson, where she received a degree in certified medical assistance. She is employed at Baptist Premier Clinic Endocrinology Office in Jackson.

Mr. Ferrell is a graduate of Central Holmes Christian Academy in Lexington and Holmes Community College in Goodman, where he received an industrial technology degree in welding. He is employed at Yazoo Valley Electric in Yazoo City.

The couple will exchange vows at 4 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Harland Creek Baptist Church, 7927 Ebenezer Coxburg Road, Lexington.

A reception will follow at the Coxburg Old School House in Lexington.
