The MSU Extension Service Office will hold Quick Bites program “Factors Affecting Winter Injury in Fruit Crops.” When: Noon. Khafre Inc., in partnership with Mississippi Valley State University, will hold its sixth annual Cotton Kingdom/Sweat Equity Symposium and Cotton Pickers Ball. Details: The symposium’s theme is “Field Hollers and Freedom Songs.” The two days of discussion and celebration will reflect the historic preservation efforts underway at Mississippi Valley State University. The symposium begins with a brown bag “Art-Talk” with Mississippi native and blues historian Ben Payton and MVSU communications professor Barbara Baymon on Nov. 9. The symposium will be Nov. 10. Professor and Acting Chair of the Business Department Curressia Brown will host and facilitate the event.
